“ Beautiful, relaxing oceanfront atmosphere. Food was delicious. Guests not staying at Mauna Lani can still eat at Napua but need to park at public parking available in a small parking lot at Kalahuipua'a Historic Park. From there, it's a 15-minute walk along a scenic trail to the Beach Club. The walk and lunch was a great way to spend our time before our evening flight back to the East Coast of the USA. ”
“ Generally good experience. The BBQ rib was a recommendation from our server, I'm glad we get it - it's cooked to perfection with juicy and tender inside and a crispy and lightly charred outside. The sauce is not overly potent either. The nights special gnocchi is delicious, the spinach sauce showcases the sweetness and flavor of spinach and it surprisingly goes well with seafood. The tomatoes and grilled cauliflowers inside are also big hit - you can taste the natural flavor of them. The mahi mahi is a bit disappointing - it has the bit itchy undertone and feels overcooked. Fruit cobbler featuring local pineapple and papaya is probably the best cobbler I had, even though it's way too sweet to my taste but it's still amazing. You can taste the charred caramel and it brings out the pineapple flavor so well like it's grilled pineapple. I'd prefer the vanilla icecream to be a more bland one to not overpowering in sweetness. Service is good, I'd not call it exceptional and they seem don't care if it's any special occasion at all. But other than that there is nothing wrong. It's a quiet and lovely place for special occasions. ”
“ We had dinner at Napua for our anniversary and were treated like honored guests. Everything about Napua was top notch. The location is beautiful close to the beach. It’s a smaller restaurant so it feels more intimate and service was excellent and full of aloha. The ambiance was comfortable with live music. The food was stellar. The options are locally inspired, flavorful and hearty. I would highly recommend Napua. ”
“ Napua was one of the first restaurants I visited when I moved to the island 10+ years ago...and it's still amazing! View, staff, menu, music, wine list; all A+! They care about their guests and those who work in the restaurant and it shows. I always bring visitors when they come to the island and I'll keep doing so! ”
“ We came here for our last dinner on the short trip to the Big Island and enjoyed it a lot. Every dish is delicious and inspiring; the chef’s creativity creates a “wow” moment. Also, we appreciate the way of serving dishes. Since we couldn't eat a regular portion in America, we informed that we are going to share all the dishes ordered. Then they served every dish as already-separate dishes for each person. I appreciate this consideration so much. I really regret that I didn't order dessert since I was almost full. I’m sure that you shouldn’t miss it although I haven’t tried yet, since others are really good. I highly recommend this restaurant to the foodie first-time visitors to the Big Island. ”
